Precautions

Su'ao is the main town in the north and also the main junction toward Hualien and Taitung. In addition, this route passes through the city, and the port area and shares the road with cars. Furthermore, the surrounding fishermen have heavy traffic in and out of the fish port, so pay special attention to riding safety.
If you drive from Taipei on the weekend or a holiday, please pay attention to whether there is a controlled high-occupancy vehicle on the return trip at Chiang Wei-shui Memorial Freeway.
