Round the lake route of Ermei Lake、Shitou Mountain、Nanzhuang
Starting and ending in Zhunan, the holy land of Shitou Mountain is the highest point. At the same time, visit the Emei Lake scenic area in the mountainous area of Miaoli provincial Highway 3 and the challenging route of Hakka settlements in Sanwan and Nanzhuang. This tour departs from Zhunan Station at a steady pace, all the way to the Emei Lake scenic a, where you can slow down and enjoy the beauty of religious buildings and the tranquility of former settlements through the lakeside bicycle path. Leaving the leisurely Emei Lake, the next stop is to visit Sanwan on the provincial Highway 3 and then enter the most challenging section of the route, Shitou Mountain. There are many Buddhist and Taoist temples built on the mountain in the Shitou Mountain scenic area. There are ancient roads connecting them in series. It is a place of pilgrimage for believers in the north. Among them, the Temple is the largest and the oldest among the temples on Shitou Mountain. There are roads leading directly to the bottom parking lot and therefore the highest point on this route. After riding to the parking lot here, don't turn around in a hurry. It is recommended to hop off your bicycle and go to the temple to worship on foot. In addition to easing the shortness of breath caused by the steep journey, you can also use the solemn atmosphere to calm your emotions. You can calm down and gaze upon the exquisite carvings and the beauty of the temple's architecture. After completing the challenge at the highest point, after descending, follow provincial highway 124 to Nanzhuang, one of the most Hakka-infused settlements on this route. Old Street is located in the busiest area of Nanzhuang. Guihuaxiang, Yongchang Palace, Nanzhuang Old Post Office and Nanzhuang cinema are all must-visit attractions here; of course, the local Hakka delicacies are the best supplement for hungry riders. Then ride back to Zhunan along the road to complete this challenging and in-depth itinerary.
